Rowdy Rose K9 Services Dog Training & Boarding!

We sent our 2 year old Chocolate Lab to Rowdy Rose for Behavior Modification and E-Collar Courses in 2024 as we were expecting our first baby and wanted to gain some sort of order with our fur baby. We can’t say enough good things about Katie and her team as they gave us the tools to be successful with our pup and the freedom to give our dog the life he so deserves. We continue to use them for boarding when we travel and feel a sense of relief leaving our pup in a safe and comfortable environment with a Team who loves and cares for him as much as we do. Communication is great and effective and continuing education is a bonus! We frequently take our pup out with us and we are almost always complimented on his behavior and people/dog skills, something we really struggled with before. We highly recommend Rowdy Rose to anyone with a pup!

Katie is amazing, My dog Harper was scared and skittish to new people, Katie made sure to build a bond with her before anything. In her lessons with Harper she continued to build her confidence up as well as getting basic training skills down. Harper is now way more confident and more comfortable around new people. E-Collar training with Katie and Rowdy Rose K9 for the win! I've been mountaineering biking Bidwell Park with our six year old pointer for years. Not once have I lost him. Recently, we adopted a second pointer, and she is quite the opposite. She will follow her nose to the edge of the globe before looking up to confirm she is still in my sight. Recently we lost her for over two hours.

Upon finding her and returning home, we contacted Katie at Rowdy Rose K9 to enroll her in an E-Collar course. Our dog's response to the course was phenomenal! Knowing we can stimulate and get the dog's attention from a great distance has helped relieve some stress while riding.

Katie is brilliant. She knows dogs, understands their behavior and helps them and us humans have the best relationship with our dogs! Katie worked with three of my large dogs at once. Two younger pups and my older stubborn girl. They were out of control and I needed help! She brought the best out of my dogs and showed me and my entire family the tools to sustain the growth! Rowdy Rose K9 Services was wonderful with our Izzy girl. Anyone who knows us, they know that our dog is our world. She struggles with anxiety, which, initially I thought was excitement. After a bit of a rough start for Izzy in Katie’s two-week board and train program, our girl started to grasp concepts and understand that she was safe and learning new tricks of her trade. Not only does our girl now have the tools to help her grow in our home when we aren’t around, I now have tools to take her on a walk and deal with her around other dogs being aggressive towards us. Katie constantly helps me with little things and is always open to additional assistance. We have also utilized her for boarding over the weekend when we are out of town and receive constant updates while we are away. Our girl is safe and loved at her facility and is treated like one of her own. We 100% recommend Katie for any services when it comes to four-legged humans. We can’t thank her enough for her!

I had contacted Rowdy Rose K9’s to help train my seven month old dachshund (who are notoriously stubborn and hard to train). Kiwi is a very anxious and reactive puppy which made for a very anxious owner. Katie is amazing she is smart, attentive, and caring! She met with us for an at home consultation where she listened to all of my concerns and we discussed the best path forward for kiwi. Katie made a step by step plan and provided us with all the tools we would need to be successful. I have been a GSD owner for about 15 years. 8 months ago I purchased an 8 week old GSD pup, can’t get away from the breed! Having very positive experience with another high quality local trainer, I was going to go there again. Friend of mine mentioned Katie and I decided to hear what she had to offer. Katie came to my place, very well prepared with info regarding what she could do. After careful consideration, I decided to give Katie the nod. Very pleased with her results! Major thing for me is Katie’s commitment after initial training. I have had several issues and her response has been excellent. Rowdy Rose is simply amazing! I was referred to Rowdy Rose and could not be more pleased with the results. I signed my puppy up for the Puppy Program, where she stayed with Rowdy Rose for about 3 weeks - when we did our training sessions it was crazy to see the positive change in my puppy in such a short period of time. I also signed my puppy up for the E-Collar Course. Rowdy saw that my puppy was being very stubborn to her new level of learning and asked to keep her and work with her longer until she felt she got through her stubborn phase, and at no additional charge. It shows that Rowdy actually cares about your dog and you, and wants them to succeed. I love Rowdy Rose. We also use Rowdy boarding and my puppy gets so excited to see her! My dog and I had the pleasure of working with Katie. She was awesome. She is very patient, knowledgeable, and kind. It was very apparent that she understands the way dogs think, and has the ability to communicate the lessons in a way that I was able to understand. My dog had gotten training before, and I wanted to reinforce the training plus add a bit more. She is doing very well and was learning quite fast with the way Katie was teaching us. I am very grateful to have found Rowdy Rose K9 services , and I would recommend them to anyone with a dog!!

Katie is the BEST! We have a large German shepherd mix who is sweet as can be but was VERY stubborn. Katie came to our home and taught me so much. She not only built my confidence in handling my dog but his confidence in me being the boss. Before Katie he refused to get in the car, would jump up on the bed constantly, and jumped up on people and was overall not a great listener. I’m happy to report all of those behaviors have ceased! He is the most well mannered, gentle giant and I’m so grateful for Katie’s help and guidance. If you are looking for quality training and someone who will work with you on specific things and really take the time to listen to you and get to know you and your dog, call Katie! 10/10 recommend! I came to Rowdy Rose K9s with a wild little German Shepard mix that needed some structure and help from a professional. Lyla is the sweetest little dog but had no manners and absolutely no respect for the leash. Lyla did 2 weeks of day training with Rowdy Rose and now I can actually enjoy our walks because she isn’t tugging, we can walk past a dog without her stressing out and barking, and most importantly we have more respect for each other because I know how to better communicate with her! Katie and her team did an amazing job with Lyla. She was so excited every morning to get dropped off at training so I always knew she was getting treated well by them. I am so thankful for their help and the peace I have with Lyla now at home and out on our walks!

Myself and my girlfriend got to experience the three-week board and train program that Katie had to offer for our dog Pepper. If you knew Pepper before the three-week training program and saw her after you would sign up immediately. Because of her breed, she is very high energy and protective, after her training she listens to us a lot better as well as doesn’t pull when we walk her, it was a complete 180 for her and we highly recommend this program to any dog with behavioral issues.

I hired Katie for my 8 year old maltipoo, Levi. I recently had a baby and was desperate for some good training. My pup had been my “baby” up to this point, and once I brought the baby home, all I wanted was my dog to be a dog. We signed up for the 2 week board and train, in hopes that he would actually listen to me and hopefully calm the barking🫠 Katie worked and worked with him & sent lots of photos/updates of how everything was going. He came back behaving much better than before!! Katie came to the house and taught me everything she taught him. She also is always just a text away. My training package includes a refresher home course, whenever it’s needed. Here’s the biggest thing I’ve learned and I’ve always heard it but never believed it - a huge part of training your dog is being trained as well. As the owner, you need to be consistent & stick to your guns. Sometimes it’s hard to remember to give them a quick 5 minute training session for the day, but it’s so worth it to keep the good behavior. Thank you Katie, you are so wonderful & I know Levi will be excited whenever he gets to come board with you ☺️

We absolutely love Katie! Our puppy Nala has learned so much and she has set us up for success for many years to come. We feel 1000% secure leaving her there to board as well! She treats Nala as her own and she always come back to us sad to leave Katie!
